Tribute from The Bible Society Of Ghana (BSG)

To Our Father, Brother and Friend

It is with mixed feelings that the Bible Society of Ghana pays this tribute to the memory of the Very Rev Prof Joshua Kudadjie. Though we feel a deep sense of great loss at this time, we are also grateful to God for his life and meritorious service in the Bible Work.

The Joshua Kudadjie-Bible Society of Ghana association began when he became a member of the Society in the mid-1960s, shortly after its inauguration. In 1981, he was invited to serve as General Secretary (part time) until 1985.

He was very principled, kind-hearted and had a passion for God’s ministry, especially the translation and literacy projects. In his goodwill message to the Society, during the Golden Jubilee in September 2015, he wrote:
“…..Congratulations and commendations to all past and present members and supporters, Executives, officials, Translators, Consultants, Distributors and all others through whose untiring efforts and sacrifices the seeds sown in 1965 have yielded so much in 50 years……For the future, we humbly suggest and pray that BSG considers re-introducing the New Reader Series in both English and Ghanaian languages to meet the growing need for Bible Literacy….”

This summed up his passion for the work he did, in spite of the challenges of Bible work; Very Rev Prof Joshua Kudadjie demonstrated brotherly love towards members, staff and volunteers of the BSG. We still remember the wisdom and godly counsel he shared with us.

We shall do you the honours by lifting high the torch of Christ, no matter the challenges, and ensure that we build upon your good work to the glory of our Father in heaven.

Our dear father, brother and friend: we take consolation in the Word of GOD for which you have laboured all these years; and the fact that you have gone to rest honourably with the Lord from your labours. Rest in peace.
