“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot.”  (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2)

Although as Christians we know that there is “a time to be born and a time to die,” the news of the passing away of our dear friend came as a shock to us. It was particularly shocking, because we heard the news of the demise of another dear friend and theologian at the same time. We are, however, comforted by the fact that we shall be together again in heaven forever.

Rev Prof Kudadjie was a dear friend of the Institute and of its founding Rector, Rev Prof Kwame Bediako of blessed memory. He identified with the Institute’s vision of equipping Christian workers and leaders for effective mission in the African context. Hence, he participated in several programmes and workshops organised by it.

One major project organised by the Institute that he participated in was the project on “Christian Witness in the Public Sphere,” which spanned over three years. He was a key presenter in this project, and his passion for Christians to demonstrate Christian character in their professions and workplaces was an encouragement to participants of the project.

As we worked together on the project, he demonstrated his usual calmness, hardworking and persevering spirit. Thus, he did not only make presentations on demonstrating Christian character, he lived it! We will miss his exemplary Christian life and encouragement. May the Lord give us more persons like him today.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
