Tribute from Miriam Kaki Kudadjie

Created by Elizabeth 3 years ago

Grandpa, you lived well. I can never forget you. Times with you were fun. You were always full of advice, wanting to know where we have reached in life and encouraging us. I will remember you every year as we were born on the same day of the month. I would call to wish you a “happy birthday” and you will give me your blessings over the phone. No year passes without you showering me with gifts on our birthday.

I always used to boast that even if Mum and Dad will not do anything for me, Grandpa will always do something for me. I wish we could have one of such moments this year again but unfortunately, you won’t be here.

You taught me a lot in this life-- from how to use only my first three fingers to eat kenkey without it getting into my palms to making sure I was speaking in the local dialect. I am grateful. You were good company, an epitome of generosity. I am sad you have left but I know you left for a better place, to be with our creator. I am thankful for the life you lived. You deserve a good rest with the Lord.

I will miss you. Goodbye.

Your first grand-daughter,
Kaki.
